Rainwater Harvesting Systems

Water charges are on the way and rainwater harvesting systems will become more and more useful and cost effective.  Ollan will introduce various systems that minimize the need for pumps, ultra violet radiation or chlorination.  He will look at retrofitting of existing houses for gravity rainwater systems and discuss filter systems.  Local Authority Regulations, a maintenance and inspection programme and grey water treatment on site for reuse for toilets and outdoor washing will also be discussed.
