Reedbed Systems - Ecological and Cost Effective

An introduction to domestic reedbed design and installation as a cost effective and acological way to treat effluents, covering low cost/low impact composting systems, septic tanks, composting chambers with flush toilets, grey water treatments, reedbeds and constructed wetlands.  Participants will receive basic information in putting together a system for their house or farm.  The operational wetland system at the Centre will also be visited.  Ollan will also look at waste water treatment and water reuse in residential, school and agricultural developments.
