We are back with our bird box this year and the first tentative movements are currently happening as blue tits have started investigating and now bringing foliage into the box, in what we hope is the first signs of setting up home. You can watch the magic close up. As well as regular updates on social media, this year we are also live on the Organic centres YouTube channel.
Updates from May 3rd 2026 : We now have 9 blue tits eggs in the blue tit box (and counting) the male and female birds are working well together to nurture their eggs together. The female can spend up to 15 days incubating her eggs.
Update from Friday May 15th 2026- Eggs have hatched. The chicks can need 100 caterpillars a day so the parents are v busy providing for them. It can take 2 weeks to 18 days for the chicks to leave the nest. Keep an eye on our 'You tube' for further updates.
