We are delighted and excited to have started the first phase of our woodland redevelopment plan for 2022 and we have big plans for the year ahead.
We received grant funding from the Department of Agriculture, Farming & Marine, to support this project and we are grateful for their support.
The plan will be rolled out in three phases and will include redeveloping access to the woodland, planting native Irish trees and creating an outdoor classroom for use by groups, schools, tours, and communities. The classroom will be a great resource for everyone, and the work we are doing will, as always support local flora and fauna, it will showcase woodland biodiversity and people of all ages who want to learn more about woodland life will be able to add it to their tour/walk around the Centre.
The woodland will make a great addition to the Centre and its work, and we are really looking forward to welcoming you to it. We will update you more details and hope to have an official opening later in the year.
