book ‘Irish Seaweed Christmas Kitchen’,Dr
Prannie Rhatigan, will lead an educational
walk along the beach to identify and harvest
seaweeds. She will discuss the benefits of
seaweed in cooking, health, gardening and
cosmetic use. Bring weatherproof clothes,
sturdy footwear, a bag, notebook, pen and a
sharp knife or scissors to snip small
samples. The walk will go over rough terrain.
Exact time of walks will be advised,
depending on tides. Bring a picnic lunch and
we will have a seaweed treat on the beach.
