The savoy cabbage Bloemendaalse Gele is the hardest breed of all savoy cabbage varieties. The green-yellow (turning into gold-green) slightly curled cabbage has a very good and tender taste. The shape of the crop varies from pointed to a little more roundish. Savoy cabbage can withstand some frost and can therefore stay outside for quite some time. This type of cabbage requires a nutritious and moist soil.
