Mangetout (climbing) Hendriks has a very long growing and harvesting period. It is a very reliable and firm variety and is little sensitive to Fusarium. Legumes are somewhat sweeter in a more mature stadium (when the seeds are just visible).

Mangetout types have to be cultivated along a wire netting fence in any case. In this process, it is possible to sow a series on both sides of the net. It is also important to sow sufficiently deep (3-4 cm) in order to prevent mice and birds from eating the seeds. There are little problems with diseases and plagues, which makes it much more attractive to cultivate this crop yourself.
