Red cabbage ‘Klimaro F1’ is an excellent autumn variety and a good cabbage for storage. It is also ideal for the fresh market. The heads have a firm structure and are a lovely red colour. Follow up feeding every two weeks for a good yield.

The weight of a mature ‘Klimaro F1’ cabbage head is around 3-4 kg. Harvesting at a young stage improves the storage quality. This cabbage can be stored for up to nine months as the variety is particularly resilient to pink rot.

Sow: 4 weeks before transplanting
Transplant: mid April-late May
Harvest: mid September-mid November, approx. 140 days after transplanting
Soil: fertile with sufficient organic matter, alkaline, pH 6-7.5
Resistance: highly resilient to pink rot

Spacing: 75x65 cm
