About Sean:
I am a woodland practitioner and educator with over 15 years of experience in permaculture, organic horticulture, and community forestry. After earning my Diploma in Permaculture and Organic Horticulture from Kinsale College in 2010, I gained international experience on organic farms across Europe, North America, and Peru, and have since worked with The Organic Centre in Leitrim and managed market gardens in Cork and Galway.
In East Clare, I collaborate with schools, NGOs, landowners, and community groups to restore native woodlands, create biodiversity corridors, and establish educational forest spaces. My family and I are developing a 15 acre off grid smallholding near Feakle, where we have planted thousands of trees, an and established orchards and gardens. For the last 6 years I’ve been cultivating mushrooms on logs as both an ecological and enterprise model, and have been running workshops, courses and Meitheals teaching people the skills needed.
