For 30 years, The Organic Centre in Rossinver, Co. Leitrim has been a pioneering charity and social enterprise dedicated to organic gardening, community education and sustainable living. Our mission is “to promote and support organic growing and sustainable living,” and our vision is “to work with people and nature for a more sustainable planet.”
Working alongside schools, learners, volunteers and partners, we run accredited training, weekend workshops, demonstration gardens and outreach programmes that support climate action, food sovereignty and social inclusion. From supporting local employment to promoting biodiversity, The Organic Centre plays a vital role in shaping a sustainable and resilient rural community.
We are now seeking new voluntary Board members to help lead The Organic Centre into its next chapter, supporting our strategic priorities through strong governance, community connection, and shared vision.

We’re Looking for Board Members With Experience in the Following Areas:
Fundraising & Income Development:
Deep experience in creating and delivering successful fundraising strategies — from major donor cultivation and grant writing to sponsorships, events, and corporate partnerships — to help secure the Organic Centre’s financial future.
Finance:
We’re seeking someone with strong financial acumen who can help guide budgeting, reporting and financial sustainability. Experience in financial oversight, accounting, grant management or nonprofit finance would be particularly valuable.

About The Organic Centre: Founded in 1995, The Organic Centre is a registered charity and social enterprise rooted in environmental education, rural development and organic horticulture. We deliver a two-year QQI-accredited course and over 45 weekend workshops annually. We run an organic market garden nestled under the Leitrim hills in Rossinver, which is open free to the public. Our eco-shop sells a large range of Organic certified seeds.
