Join us for our Apple Day-Harvest Festival on Sunday September 29th from 12 -4pm. We will have all the seasonal sights and smells that make up our famous and free event. There will be talks and tours from the apple experts like our v own Phil Wheal, We will also be joined by botanist Maria Cullen who will be updating us all about the threat of fireblight to our natural hawthorn and our apple trees. Get a chance to hear about our wild life including the local ospreys spotted locally as we have an information stand with the wonderful NPWS Robert Wheeldon, The fascinating  'Leitrim Women Through Time' exhibition will be onsite for all to view on the day.  We with have craft demos, stone carving, weaving and wool spinning, alongside our centre piece of apple pressing. 

Browse our teeming array of local stalls* of sustainable crafts and food indoors and outdoors around the building. There will be plenty for the family to enjoy including heritage games from 'Heritage Crafts Alive', and get out for a nature walk with Green Shoots Shoots co ordinator and former ranger, Fiona Wheeldon. Enjoy craft with the family with artists Sarah Lundy. There will be live music, plus all things apple on the menu of the Grass Roof Cafe.
